Natasha Nicolazzi has achieved a remarkable feat by clinching her third title as the Champion of Switzerland in the Cigar Smoking World Championship (CSWC). Having secured victories in 2021, 2022, and now 2024, Natasha has firmly established herself as a dominant force in the competition.
This year's event was particularly noteworthy, as former CSWC organizer for Switzerland, Franco Cavgen, made his debut as a competitor. In an impressive performance, Cavgen secured second place, trailing Natasha by a mere five minutes. Despite his extensive experience with the CSWC, Cavgen was new to the competitive aspect, whereas Natasha's familiarity with competition proved decisive.

The competition saw an unexpected twist when last year's champion, Rene Loser, exited the race early after just 37 minutes. Loser's early departure alleviated some of the pressure on other participants, creating a more relaxed atmosphere for both veteran competitors and newcomers.
One of the standout performances came from newcomer Luis Raich, who secured third place. Raich finished just seven minutes behind Cavgen, demonstrating remarkable poise and skill for a first-time competitor. The event was flawlessly organized by Gian Carlos Casparis, the official CSWC organizer for Switzerland, alongside official judges Joe Kunch and Stefano Nett. Their meticulous planning and execution ensured a smooth and memorable competition.

Adding to the prestige of the event was the presence of special guest Mario Girardi from Cuervo y Sobrinos, the official CSWC timekeeper. Girardi had the honor of personally presenting the main prize—a CyS watch—to Natasha Nicolazzi, recognizing her extraordinary achievement of becoming a three-time Swiss champion.
Natasha's triumph, marked by her consistent excellence and competitive spirit, continues to inspire the cigar smoking community. As she celebrates her third title, the anticipation for future competitions grows, with both veterans and newcomers eager to challenge the reigning champion.
