What an event, what emotions - for CSWC and Club Mareva founder Marko Bilic, this will undoubtedly be one of the most unforgettable. For the first time, Marko paid a visit to Cigar Club Mareva Beirut, which he refers to as his "third Child." His emotions were high, made even higher by the fact that this was not only his first visit to Mareva Beirut, but also the first time he lead competition in a Mareva club outside of the ones in his home in Mareva Split. So, during this visit, two of his founding ideas come together in one of his most powerful emotions ever.

Yes, dreams came true, and I am grateful to God for people like Woody na Najat, the owners of Club Mareva Beirut, who helped to us to reach the dreams. Bilic was greeted warmly by Mareva Beirut members right away, and Marko was overwhelmed by the feeling of belonging to the Mareva family. After two days of bonding at the beautiful Mareva Beirut lounge, it was time to prepare for the first CSWC qualifier, the second in Lebanon, at Club Mareva Beirut. Participants were highly motivated not only for the challenge, but also for a good time. The biggest star of slow smoking was the clear favorite - Jean Pierre Haykal, a super slow smoker who won the CSWC Lebanon championship in 2019 and is currently ranked 19th on the world raking list of all-time best smokers. Samer Abdo, the second favorite, was putting in excellent training times.

Mareva Beirut was completely full, and the atmosphere was fantastic and entertaining. As the start of the competition approached, all of the competitors began to get excited and ready for the slow smoking fight. CSWC Judge Wissam gave the green light, and Mareva was filled with the gentle smoke of the world's slowest race. The level of excitement was at an all-time high. One of the favorites, Samer Abdo, was eliminated, but he performed admirably in the first competition. Wissam issued two warnings, both of which increased competition feelings.Leonardo Oujayl managed to push his cigars to the second best time at the end of the great smoking competition round, but 15 minutes of penalty put him back in third place. Ayman al Sayyed provided an impressive smoking race, smoking also and below the ring with a time good enough for second place. Favorite one - Jean Pierre Haykal defended his title and proved he deserved to be called the heavy weight of slow smoking as the first person in the season 2022 to break two hours of smoking. Without a doubt, the CSWC Lebanon 2022 was a historic event.
