The CSWC USA season kicked off in Apex, North Carolina, at Apex Cigar Lounge. This Prequalification round was judged and organized by great Franklin Kleckner, Rocky Patel's Sales Representative for that region.
Franklin is a great guy and a true professional, and we were looking forward to the CSWC prequalifier that he had organized. Competitors in Apex performed, as expected, and we now have the first winner of the USA season. - Marko Bilic, CSWC founder

Apex cigar lounge is a premier destination for all cigar enthusiasts and the ideal location for the CSWC slow smoking race, thanks to plenty of space to sit and smoke both inside and out. The nice and cozy competition room allowed competitors to look at each other and keep track of all competitors in the room, allowing them to push or risk if necessary.
Focus on competition cigar was always there
Like in any other race sports, technical challenges can add to excitement of the race
CSWC is overall great experience and huge fun
CSWC smoking times in Apex were more than adequate when we consider that this was all contentest's first experience with a slow smoking competition. Even though this was the competitors' first experience, the competitive spirit was present. Steve S. finished third in that race with a smoking time of 1 hour, 20 minutes, 15 seconds. Brandon E., who pushed that stick to 1 hour, 23 minutes, and 44 seconds, deserved second place with only a 3 minute difference from third place. Drew Emch was the clear winner of this round in Apex, clocking in at 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 01 seconds. Times are good, the winner did an excellent job, and now he must compete in the CSWC USA final for the final race.
