CSWC Austria is back, and this year's official qualification round was held in the lovely city of Wien. Our CSWC Judge Mirko Ivanic organized a great competition that drew some experienced competitors, but also famous ones from Austria, such as Daniel Friedenthal, who was one of the top three finalist in the grand final 2019 and has a name on the top 20 list of the best World smokers of all time - he is on 6th place with a smoking time of 3 hours and 10 minutes.
CSWC AUSTRIA with Peter Gaudenzi, Reinhold Widmayer, and Mirko Ivanic has a special place in my heart because these people did an incredible job not only promoting CSWC in Austria, but also and on the global scale. - Marko Bilic, CSWC Founder
Surprises were provided by CSWC Austrija. As previously stated, top skilled and raking slow smoker Daniel Friedenthal did not have the best day, but he still managed to place third in his group with a smoking time of 1 hour 35 minutes and 37 seconds, which is just warming up time for Daniel. Ali Iravani, the great and solid slow smoker, came in second with a time of 1 hour, 40 minutes, and 42 seconds. Really, but after a razor-thin victory margin of 36 seconds, Oliver Walla became the new Austrian CSWC champion.
