The best ones of CSWC pre - qualifier in Santiago de los Caballeros getting prizes by Danays Leon, CSWC organizer and head judge
Danays Leon did an incredible job organizing the first national CSWC in the Dominican Republic and providing the first local winner who will fight in the DR final. Great atmosphere, top organization, and great competitors in a historical cigar lounge La Tabaqueria Cigar Club resulted in the first pre-qualifier in DR's great success. it was great to see also there Mr Dorin Potolinca from Sprelinga cigars and sponsors Oliver Rums
and Stern & Commas Law Firm.
We are extremely fortunate and grateful to have Danays as a member of our CSWC organization. She is an incredible person, and the work she did to promote and organize the CSWC is truly outstanding.- Marko Bilic, CSWC Founder
Edward Tavarez is the first winner of the CSWC in DR

The competition started out great - slow and nice. The start was nearly equal for all competitors, but as time passed, the slowest racers began to gain an advantage. In the end, the apsoult winner was Edward Tavarez, who won in 1 hour and 31 minutes. He was followed by Amed Chaer, who finished in second place. Why is the CSWC in Santiago de los Caballeros the true first national competition in the Dominican Republic? Yes, there were previously two CSWC competitions in the Dominican Republic, but these were international competitions open to everyone as part of the international festival Pro Cigar Festival. The CSWC tournaments at the Pro Cigar Festival have never produced a local champion. This one is historic because it is a true qualification tournament for DR nationals only. In this regard, we congratulate Edward Tavarez on this historic achievement.
